BALD KNOB FINE ARTS COUNCIL
The Bald Knob Fine Arts Council was organized in October 2000 to promote the arts in the Bald Knob Area Community. The council has sixty members. Fees are ten dollars per person per year. A working board of thirteen governs the council and organizes and promotes activities. Currently the group sponsors two annual events. The community choir presents a December performance of Christmas music, with orchestration, the first week of December. Rehearsal begins in October. The performance is presented as a gift to the community. Sunset Celebration, an outdoor community event is presented in June or July of each year. The celebration is held in the courtyards of the high school and consists of an art show, as well as performances by a community band and other community music groups. Musical selections consist of country, pop, and gospel. Food is provided to the audience by a local restaurant at a nominal cost. Tables are arranged in an outdoor cafe` setting to enhance the patrons' enjoyment. The Arts Council invites you to call President Ann Heverling at (501) 724-6596 or Secretary Kay Jameson at (501) 724-3553 or (501) 724-2601.
